A New Star Wars Game?!

Star Wars: Squadrons Is Coming!

So there is a new Star Wars game coming soon, and I am VERY excited about it.

As the die hard Star Wars fans out there will know, playing a Star Wars game is pure joy. Yes, they have glitches and little irritating points, but which game doesn't? When i saw the trailer for this game, i was so happy. And I'm sure you Star Wars fans out there will also be happy!

So, lets talk about the new game...

Well it's called Star Wars: Squadrons and yes, you guessed it, it's based on flying. You can fly such things like the Tie Fighter, X-Wing, A-Wing, Tie Interceptor and many more. The game is set after the Battle of Endor (you know when the second Death Star was destroyed).

This story switches between 2 pilots, that you can customize, who are flying for New Republic's Vanguard Squadron and the Empire's Titan Squadrons.

The multiplayer game modes supports up to 10 players per server, so it will be a 5 v 5 PVP experience. As players earn more experience, they can unlock new weapons, shields, upgrades and various cosmetic items for the pilot and their ship. Sounds great!

This game could be a great Division, if enough people are interested!!

The game will be available on PC, Xbox One & PS4 and will be released on October 2nd this year.

On an interesting note, this game will be cross play AND support virtual reality (VR) head sets.

Check out the trailer below:

I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait until this game is out. 2020 looks to be improving, slowly.

What do you guys think of the trailer? Will you be buying this game? Would you like to see this as a Division in TG?

What It's Like To Be... Episode 9

What It's Like To Be...
Brigade Commander

Hello TG and welcome to the ninth episode of a this series. In this series, titled 'What It's Like To Be..", I will be interviewing members of TG throughout the ranks, ranging from squad member right up to the CoC. As well as interviewing CoC members, i will also be taking the chance to interview certain members in support positions. This series will be published on a monthly basis.

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing my fellow division member TG-AMP, BGC for PS4 Brigade. The biggest Brigade in Call of Duty Division.

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to this position?

TG-AMP: I wasn’t attracted to the position at all. TG-Mitchell will tell you that for a while, I said that I didn’t want to step away from command of the 1st BN here at CoD PS4. I think that things were trending in a direction that I was going to need to assume that role and train my successor concurrently, rather than sequentially. What the brigade needed was more important than what I wanted, and that’s a tough pill to swallow sometimes. But we got it to work, and I believe what I’ve been able to assist in from this position is more than I could have ever done from the CO spot at the time.

TG SmokeyB: You've been in your position of Brigade Commander since March this year. What is the main reason for staying in the position?

TG-AMP: By the time this article comes out, I will have served in the position for about 3 months. So while that doesn’t sound like an impressive amount of time, I’d argue that because of the workload, running the largest battalion and brigade in TW is quite a handful everyday.

This question has a more important meaning though. I believe firmly that at the end of about 5-6 months in position, that it will be time for me to step away, and allow for new leadership to come in with new ideas. Turnover in positions is important. You need the right ingredients though, in stability, and in talent in lower positions.

We have both. So in 3 more months, you will likely not see me in this position.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell us the best highlight while serving as a BGC?

TG-AMP: Requesting a third squad in our 2nd BTN and a twelfth squad in our 1st BTN are pretty big highlights. It’s a testament to the environment that we have cultivated here. Practicing every Sunday and Wednesday can get stale with no clear objectives, or events that help augment our member’s experience at TG.

We’ve also created an environment in which TG’s most competitive team in a long while is thriving and winning! If you haven’t heard of TG Crimson Shogun, well I hope you see them now:
- TG's Crimson Shogun GB Profile

Some of our other services to members events include:
- All Hallow's Eve 1v1 Tournament
- Double Double Tournament
- CoD Squad League

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to TG when you first joined?

TG-AMP: Back in April of 2009, I was getting pretty descent at CoD World at War, but didn’t have a crew that I was playing with regularly. I think I found CoD on a website forum somewhere, and decided to play with them. When I saw the structure and the accountability, i.e. the understanding that I could count on squad mates AT LEAST ever Sunday and Wednesday night, I decided to give it a shot.

TG SmokeyB: I imagine you are busy with handling the PS4 Brigade. What is it about being the Brigade Commander that you love?

TG-AMP: The members. The members. The members.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell me a little more about your TG history?

TG-AMP: I joined TG on April 20th, 2009. That tenure lasted about 6 years until I was discharged for being on leave over the 6th month mark. During that time, I rose through the ranks extremely quick, probably too quick.

The details are fuzzy but what I remember was being an integral part in building divisions such as MAG, Homefront, and then Uncharted, where I was in the Division Officer’s spot for almost 2 years cumulatively.

This time, I came back in June after I had been playing CoD World War II for a bit. I think I was thrust into the XO 1st BN spot on either day one or two of being back. You’ll see I have zero practice points.

TG SmokeyB: If you could change one thing in TG, what would it be?

TG-AMP: Haha, there are plenty of things! But I’ll reserve them for the appropriate place.

TG SmokeyB: Just for fun. If you where having your last meal tomorrow, what would it be?

TG-AMP: Oh god! Contemplating my morbidity. I suppose I’d go with a 70+ ounce medium rare ribeye steak if I wasn’t going to be needing my arteries anymore.

Thank you @TG-AMP for the great interview. It's great to see someone not in TG that long and rise through the ranks. You'r doing a great job, many thanks to you!

Stayed tuned for another episode next month, from a familiar face!

Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Great news for Destiny fans!

A new DLC, Beyond Light, is coming to Destiny 2. The DLC is coming on the 2nd of September this year. Bungie has also outlined its plan for three years worth of expansions. Yes, Three Years!

That's start with the trailer:

So the first of the updates dropped today, as Destiny players will know. They have updated the servers rather then making individual players update, which is faster and quicker access. However, servers did go down for a couple of hours while they did it, but it's worth the wait.

The start of the three year updates start in September, the first expansion tells the story of the Guardians climactic fight with the Darkness. Each of these major expansions will add a new destination area to the game.

The general manager of Bungie had this to say, and I'm quoting:

"Beyond Light takes you to Europa, the frozen moon of Jupiter, birthplace to the Exo machines and the site of the Deep Stone Crypt. On Europa, you'll meet Eramis, the leader of an empire of Fallen. She's learning to harness the power that comes directly from the pyramid ships. To defeat her, you'll have to harness that power too. For the first time since Destiny 1 launched six years ago, Guardians will acquire a brand new damage type called Stasis. So not just supers or a new grenade, an actual new damage type in the universe."

As the months go by, there will be more information about the up and coming expansions in the future. The PRO News Team will keep an eye out and update the Tactical Gaming community as the news is published.

With the addition of Stasis, which is a new damage type tied to the Darkness, should be a huge change. So far Guardians have become used to wielding Arc, Solar, and Void (and Kinetic, in the case of your primary firearms). I've spoken to a friend who plays Destiny 2 and he says it's a great thing and great things to come.

I've never known a game developer to keep a game so fresh and keep players interested. Other studios and developers could learn something from Bungie and keep players interested!

As I said above, the News Team will keep an eye out for new update news and we will keep you up to date with this fantastic news.

If you play Destiny 2, you could send us your personal reviews on the expansions. Having a players personal experience and review for the updates would be great!

Dustin and Slick have been building this team since July of 2019. And it is a huge estimate to the idea that these teams don't happen over night. We are acknowledging this month of March as the first true month where we knew that that Crimson Shogun 'CrimSho' (Now Jutland), and the organization where going in the right direction. Thank you for your hard work and your talents in putting this squad of killers together.

ATO - TG-AMP

To all who shall see these presents, greeting:

Know Ye, that reposing special trust and confidence in the fidelity and abilities of

@TG-AMP

I hereby award

One (1) Instance of the Legion of Merit Award Medal

TG-AMP has been a vital part in the growth of PS4 Brigade over the past 12 months. During his tenure he has set up tournaments for all the members in the Division to participate (total awarded ~$1250). Retention has been set at an all time high. He has went from a battalion of 5 in 1st, to 12 squads. He has stood up 2 squads in PS4 2nd and is working diligently to make sure 2nd battalion grows into a self sustaining battalion.

TG-AMP has also spearheaded the competition narrative sent from TG-Biggy. Since October of 2019, he has been hard at work making sure that our CP team has all the tools they need to be at the top of their game. Due to his efforts alone, we have a premiere CP team that sits @ the t100 on the GB team ladders. Something that hasn't been done in well over 8 years!

In closing, I believe that TG-AMP embodies what the Legion of Merit stands for.
