Since late 2013, the Call of Duty Division has not been able to add a squad name to the Tactical Gaming Roll of Honor. And after almost 7 years, Call of Duty is finally ready to request its next Roll of Honor squad, Jutland (CP). TG Jutland finished 167th of 14,388 teams in the Spring season of Gamebattles CoD Crossplay Team NA ladder. During this season, which lasted from April 1st to June 30th of this year, TG Jutland finished with a record of 72-16 in matches played. Jutland (CP) began the Spring season as Crimson Shogun (ST) (later Crimson Shogun (CP)), ending that first leg of the season with a record of 139-39. This combines to a total season record of 211-55 (266 total matches) in 3 months.

This team has fought hard to get to where they are at this season's end. Not only have they performed in the top 10% for almost the entirety of the season, they were able to finish at the top 1.2%. This is a new age of external competition for the Call of Duty Division. The players and the staff are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to represent TG at the highest levels of competition possible given our set-up. This next Summer season, which lasts from July 1st until September 30th, should be our Division's greatest season yet. All levels of staff and players of the PS4 Brigade are incredibly proud of this team.

Congratulations Jutland (CP) on an incredible season!

I hereby award for the month of June of  this Gamebattles Spring Season 2020:

@iz_Slick
@Dussttin

one instance of the Instrumental Leaders Award Medal.

(Justifications written by CoD Staff)

Early into June, CrimSho suffered a four-game losing streak.  Recognizing the need to shake things up, Crimson Shogun was deactivated and Jutland (CP) was born anew.  A quick 8 game winning streak proved the decision was the right one.  This decision took an 8-7 start and turned it into a 71-21 finish, good for the top 1.5%

TG Jutland played 92 games in June and of those 37% were played against opponents ranked in the Top 10% of the ladder.  Their record 71-21 for a rank of 218th, or Top 1.5%. This includes losses to the 9th and 17th ranked teams as well as a sweep against the 40th ranked team.  Jutland put together six win streaks of 5 or more games, including an 11 and 13 win streak.

This member has not missed a GameBattles match in 2020.  This is hundreds of games at all times of the day and night, including the 92 this month.  This award is not about reliability though, it is about performance and Dussttin is a slayer.  On numerous occasions he has come out of 1v3 situations victorious, and his communications have easily swayed games into Jutland's favor.

one instance of the Distinguished Operative Award Medal.

Xbox Series X

Xbox Series X: What We Know So Far

The next generation console battle begins.....

The next generation of Xbox called the Series X, sounds cool enough. But will be able to stand up to the new Play Station 5?

Below is some information we know about the Series X.

Release Date
Microsoft haven't yet given us a specific date of release. However, we know it will be released in 2020, close to the PS5 launch. Microsoft have also said the launch date will not be effected by Covid-19. It's been 7 years since the first series of the Xbox One was released, I'm sure we can wait a little bit more for the Series X.

Price
Basically, we don't know what the price is yet. Microsoft have not released the price bracket, you can't even pre-order the Series X yet.

Hardware
The Series X doesn't look the same as any other Xbox. It looks like a brick, if we're honest. However, it's not as big as you may think. After doing some research on this, if you take a Xbox One controller and lay it down on the table, the Series X is about that wide. If you stand the controller on its thumb grips and multiply that height by 3 or 4, that's the height of the console. Since the console is a square tower, it's as deep as it is wide.

As far as we can tell, it has no ports on the front like the One S and X do, all the ports are on the back of the console. Also, the Series X will support the Unreal Engine 5, and it includes the Lumen and Nanite technologies for lightning and geometry. As of yet, no other specs have been released.

Controller
The new controller for the Series X will be almost identical to the Xbox One controller. It will be powered by AA batteries or a rechargeable pack, just like the old ones. The only major difference will be there is now a share button, which is located just below the power button. Making it easier to capture screen shots and game play.

We also know the new controller will be lighters and has new technology in so the triggers and thumb sticks will be more sensitive and quicker to respond.

Games
As it stands at the moment, there are only a few games confirmed for the Series X. These include Halo Infinite, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, and Cyberpunk 2077. As time goes by, Microsoft will release more game titles that are coming to the Series X.

Given that the Series X is backwards compatible, the console will support a Smart Delivery feature in order to make sure you're always downloading the right version of the game you want to play.

As more information is released about the Xbox Series X, we will keep the TG community informed.

What do you think of the Series X?  What looks better, the Series X or PS5?

Weekly Gaming Fix

Summer is here what games have new DLC, and what game might you have missed?
Below is a list of some DLCs and games being released or that are already out!

Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Steel Wave (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One) - June 16th

Operation Steel Wave came out on June 16th and adds many things to Rainbow Six Siege. Here are some of the features added:
The biggest addition is the two new addition of the operators to the Rainbow Six Team they are named Ace, and Mellusi. Ace is a Norwegian operator who is on the attacking side and is a new hard breacher being introduced to the game with his SELMA gadget.  Mellusi is a South African operator who is on the defending side and is called a trap operator with her Banshee gadget. This will also be the last season where Ubisoft will introduce two new operators in the new season. On going now they will be adding only one operator to each season where the developers of the game can focus more on game mechanics and making sure the game is more polished.
Another addition to the new Season is a rework of the map called "House".

The map has been in the game since it has been released and has been a personal favorite to many of the members of the Rainbow Six Siege community. Here is a road map for the rest of year 5:

More info on season 2 update can be found here: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/rainbow-six/siege/news-updates/6ZAUq5r1JwOfFWsvlvLBmW/y5s2-steel-wave-patch-notes-addendum

 The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor (PC) May 26 (Xbox One, Playstation 4) June 10

Go back to Skyrim with the The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor expansion. Here is this new expansion you will be exploring Western Skyrim, Skyrims Captial Solitude, and Blackreach a mysterious abandoned cave system under Skyrim.
This update adds a lot to The Elder Scrolls Online. The main theme of the DLC is going against Vampires that are under Skyrim in Blackreach. The game will also be adding something called the Antiquities System where you will be able to go throughout Tamriel and find lost relics and treasures. The DLC also adds new weapons and armor to the classes that will help you be the vampire in Blackreach. Also Greymoor will also be adding 80 new achievements! If you are an achievement hunter then this is a great opportunity to get them!
Here is a more detailed patch notes on the Bethesda website: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/528633/pc-mac-patch-notes-v6-0-5-greymoor-update-26

Cyberpunk 2077 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One) - November 19

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed! The game made by CD PROJEKT RED was supposed to be released on September 17 of this year but has been delayed. To quote both Marcin Iwinski and Adam Badowski in a statement

Later stating on that such a large world to play on means that there is more to iron out and make sure that they will spend that time doing exactly that. Both Iwinski and Badowski also said:
Here is a link to their twitter if you need more updates for Night City Wire or the game itself: https://twitter.com/CyberpunkGame

What do you think of the new Rainbow Six Season? Do you think Cyberpunk will be delayed again?
What mysteries have you found in the new The Elder Scrolls Online DLC?

The PS5

Sony has recently revealed the new PS5 along with a list of accessories that will be available to be purchased for the next gen console. The new PS5 is set to be released in 2020 during the holiday season. The prior two playstation consoles, the PS4 and the PS3, were both released on the third Friday in November hence why it is currently being speculated that the next generation console will be released on the 20th of November, the third Friday of the month. Sony will launch the new console with two different models, the default console will come with a 4K Blu-ray drive whereas the Digital Edition will have no optical drive.

The PlayStation 5 is over 5.5 times as powerful as the launch-model PlayStation 4, and almost 2.5 times more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro, according to Sony. The technology of the PS5 will allow the console to deliver content at resolutions as high as 8K and frame rates up to 120 frames per second, with cutting-edge graphics features like hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing in games.

As mentioned before Sony will be releasing the next gen console with many new accessories like the brand new wireless controller, the DualSense. Along with the new controllers comes a brand new charging station, the DualSense Charging Station. What makes this charging station different however is that you connect the bottom of the controllers into it to charge them however the USB-C port is located on the top of the remotes. Sony is also coming out with the Media Remote, which seems to look a lot similar to an Apple TV remote instead of a traditional Sony remote control. The last two accessories that will be coming out are a depth-sensing camera for the PS5 and the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset.

Prices have not been announced yet however more updates will follow in the weeks to come!

I hereby award

@vThammim
@BudZeus23

one instance of the Instrumental Leaders Award Medal.

BudZeus23 and vThammim began the idea of creating a Warzone Competitive team and then put in the work to make it happen.  Talk became action quickly as they ran off an 11-game win streak, beating two Top 40 teams along the way.  They have recruited new members to Tactical Gaming (xX_Aliki_Xx and JRevelations) for the purpose of Competition on GameBattles. Until recently all of these efforts took place outside of traditional practice time and without capitalizing on the incentives of  optional practice points.

@vThammim
@BudZeus23
@xX_ALIKI_Xx

have each been awarded one instance of the Combat Operations Award Medal.

TG Sabre has won 32 games and lost only 5 in the 10 days they participated before the season closed in June.  Beating the 27th an 37th ranked teams early in the season served as a springboard for this group.  Their success, ranked 44th of 6,105 (inside the Top 1%), has spurred me to request COD/PS4/1st second CP team and first for Warzone.

@BudZeus23

For his efforts on and off the field of battle.  His k/d in Warzone is among the top seventh percentile in COD Tracker and his wins in the top three percentile.  Outside of the game, BudZeus has been the engine that drives the car known as Competitive Warzone.

has been awarded one instance of the Distinguished Operative Award Medal.

Mixer Shutting Down

Today, In the world of gaming news, Mixer, Microsoft's Streaming platform is shutting down on July 22nd 2020

Microsoft bought Mixer back in 2016 when it was originally called "beam".  Since then, the platform had a rocky start after Microsoft poured millions of dollars into it.  However, it couldn't compete with the giants like YouTube or Twitch.

This is a huge blow to any streamer out there that have lost their job either working for mixer or streams on mixer and making a living on it.

Microsoft is now moving its partners to Facebook Gaming, a slowly growing platform for streaming.  For those that haven't kept up to date with the world of streaming Facebook entered the Online Gaming industry in the last or so and have been slowly building the platform up.

I feel any streamer will have seen this coming, Mixer has been behind the likes of Twitch and Youtube for years now and have never really caught up, even striking a deal with Ninja (famous fortnite streamer) and many others in hope to bring some more viewers but ultimately that failed.

Sea of Thieves Updates

Sea of Thieves: Free Lost Treasure Update

The game studios behind the great pirate game, Sea of Thieves, have been busy with updates.

As sailors will know, you can now have pets (and even dress them up) and they have added more custom skins for ships and weapons. But that is just the tip of ice burg....

Tall Tales in Sea of Thieves are exciting narrative-driven adventures that delve into the stories behind some of its prominent people and places. Nine of these Tales make up the Shores of Gold sequence, while another two arrived in recent monthly content updates The Seabound Soul and Heart of Fire. For people who remember Tall Tales, it can be played at any time, and this month’s update introduces new features to make them easier than ever to seek out and enjoy. They have added checkpoints and little items here and there to make the journey a little easier.

You can now join with other ships to form and be part of collations. Such as gold or just pure fighting and raiding. For single ships on the seas, this can be daunting idea as you see a fleet coming towards you. But if you join them, you help contribute to the over all booty you find, and you get paid a nice fee for helping.

There is a great feeling of banding together and doing missions, or hunting down other pirates and ruining their day.

The SoT servers are a place full of tales to be told and challenges to be faced, never more so than in May’s free monthly update Lost Treasure. which is out now. Daily Bounties and events to rally the most resourceful crews on the seas, there’s a packed month of activity ahead.

There is plenty to do on the open seas, just keep a watch over the stern to make sure you ain't followed!
