I hereby award

@BudZeus23
@xX_ALIKI_Xx

one instance of the Instrumental Leaders Award Medal.

July was a trying month for Werewolf (CP) as circumstances found their Squad Leader, Budzeus, unable to participate in matches for a majority of the month. Budzeus still reported to practices and sat in party, cheering his team on, assessing their needs, and offering assistance.  Meanwhile, Aliki fully earned his role of squad assistant by keeping the team competitive and energized.

I hereby award

@BudZeus23
@vThammim
@xX_ALIKI_Xx

each one instance of the Combat Operations Award Medal.

TG Werewolf (CP) played 30 games in July, finishing with a 22-8 record in GameBattles' Warzone (NA) Summer Ladder.  This earns them a rank of 18th out of 1,591 teams, or putting them in the Top 1.76%. In seven games against top 20 teams, Werewolf won four.  Werewolf had win streaks of six and seven in the month.

I hereby award

@xX_ALIKI_Xx

This member has stepped up since the Squad Leader had to take time off from matches in July. He kept the squad invested and competitive, he recruited a new member to Werewolf, and he is an MVP in-game.  He has earned the squad and battalion's respect with his comms and camaraderie.

What It's Like To Be... Episode 11

What It's Like To Be...
Squad Leader for an ST squad

Hello TG and welcome to the eleventh episode of a this series. In this series, titled 'What It's Like To Be..", I will be interviewing members of TG throughout the ranks, ranging from squad member right up to the CoC. As well as interviewing CoC members, i will also be taking the chance to interview certain members in support positions. This series will be published on a monthly basis.

Today I had some pleasure of interviewing a former Battlefield colleague, TG White Shade, Squad Leader of DeathDealers(ST) of the Battlefield Division.

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to this position?

TG White Shade: After my transition from the 360 Brigade to XB1, I went from a CO to a squad member. This was initially a nice break but I wanted to get back into a leadership position and run a squad the way I prefer.

TG SmokeyB: You've been in your position of Squad Leader since 2017. What is the main reason for staying in the position?

TG White Shade: The main thing that keeps me around is my fantastic SA and squad members. Death Dealers has been a dream squad for me and I could not pick a better group of guys to spend time with every week.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell us the best highlight while serving as a SL?

TH White Shade: It's hard to highlight one thing but my squad talked me into trying out my hand at sniping and now it's my favorite class to use.

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to TG when you first joined?

TG White Shade: Back in college I found myself with extra time on my hands and was approached by a couple TG members looking for recruits. The idea of taking my gaming to the next level intrigued me so i joined. I could not be happier with that decision.

TG SmokeyB: I imagine you are busy with been a Squad Leader. What is it about being a SL that you love?

TG White Shade: Being an SL isn't actually all that much work haha. My SA does a fantastic job of helping me with all paperwork and we get along very well. What I love most about my job is always hopping online and having some of my squad members on for some gaming after a long day of work.  We are constantly laughing and having a genuinely great time.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell me a little more about your TG history?

TG White Shade: Quick overview would look like this:
BLACKJACK IN 360
DEVIL CATS SM 360
GOLDEN EAGLES SM 360
BULLDOGS SA 360
BULLDOGS SL 360
XO 360
CO 360
TOMCATS SM XB1
DEATHD DEALERS SL

And now being an SL is perfectly fine for me.

TG SmokeyB: If you could change one thing in TG, what would it be?

TG White Shade: I would change the language regulations, haha. I have a squad full of men older than me (I'm 26) and I often have to remind people not to swear during practice.

TG SmokeyB: Just for fun. If you where having your last meal tomorrow, what would it be?

TG White Shade: Tongue tacos with Beef tartare on the side!

I personally have no idea what that food is, but fair enough! Ha.
Many thanks to @TG White Shade for taking part in this series.

Stayed tuned for another episode in a months time!

one instance of the Instrumental Leaders Award Medal.

Having had the opportunity to watch roughly a third of July's matches live I can personally attest to Jutland (CP) leaders and their ability to steady the team.  Squad Staff were able to focus the team's concentration, make light of stressful moments, coordinate plans against opponents, and rally their team when vibes were low.  Besides being sound tacticians, they led by example, routinely sitting atop the leaderboard at game's end.

TG Jutland (CP) played 120 matches in 31 days and finished the month ranked 33rd with a 103-17 record.  Thirty-six percent of their opponents were ranked inside the Top 10% of the ladder, with 28% of those matches against Top 1% teams.  TG Jutland had numerous winning streaks including a 12, 14, 16, and 24 (personal best) game winning streaks.  Most if not all of these matches were streamed on Twitch.

Assassins Creed Valhalla

Assassins Creed Is Back!

From Ubisoft, the next installment of the series is back... Assassins Creed Valhalla.

This will be the 12th major installment and 22nd release within the Assassins Creed series, quite an achievement. In this installment of the series, you play as a Viking called Eivor, who is caught in a conflict between the Templar Order and the Brotherhood of Assassins.

The game is due to be released on the 17th of November of this year. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Stadia. However, the game will be Ubisoft's launch game for the next generation consoles, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Next generation Assassins Creed, lets just think about that for a moment....

The game is set In 873 AD and you lead Eivor and his Vikings to invade the Anglo-Saxon English. You will be able to explore cities in England, including Winchester, York and London. There will also be parts of Norway that you can explore.

As with previous games in the series, Valhalla features a narrative set in the modern day. In this latest installment of the series, the story follows Layla Hassan, a character which can be found in the Origins and Odyssey games.

Have a look at this trailer....

This game looks brilliant. Who doesn't like playing as a Viking and raiding towns!!

Do you like the look of the game? Excited about it coming to next gen?

Microsoft Flight Sim Update

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Update!

There has been some recent news regarding the up and coming Flight Simulator 2020.

So first of all, lets look at the price of this game. In July of this year, Microsoft opened up pre ordering for the game been released on PC. There are three editions of this game, Standard, Dulex and Premium. The better the game you buy, the more content you get, including more plans, airports and better graphics for the land scapes. So the prices are for the Standard game $59.99, Dulex is $89.99 and Premium $119.99.

Eye watering we know, but look at what you are paying for in content and graphics terms:

We also know what aircraft will be included in the game, they are as follows:
Airbus A320neo
Beechcraft Bonanza
Beechcraft Baron G58
Boeing 747-8
Boeing 787-10
Cessna 152
Cessna 172 Skyhawk
Cessna 208B Grand Caravan
Cessna Citation CJ4
Cessna Citation Longitude
Cirrus SR22
CubCrafters XCub
Diamond DA40
Diamond DA62
Icon A5
Mudry CAP 10
Robin DR400
SOCATA TBM 930

This is plenty for the players to sink their teeth into. As the game goes on, there will be more aircraft available through DLC's.

Here's another look at the trailer:

Looking forward to the release of this game?  What do you think of the environment graphics?

What It's Like To Be... Episode 10

What It's Like To Be...
Competition Team Member

Hello TG and welcome to the tenth episode of a this series. In this series, titled 'What It's Like To Be..", I will be interviewing members of TG throughout the ranks, ranging from squad member right up to the CoC. As well as interviewing CoC members, i will also be taking the chance to interview certain members in support positions. This series will be published on a monthly basis.

Today I had some pleasure of interviewing the one and only @Typicalveteran-, Corps Commander but today we are focusing on his role within the Competition Team.

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to this position?

Typicalveteran: Opportunity really. I saw golden opportunities to set up TG members in Apex for success by creating a self sustaining and self refilling money pool that we could use to run tournaments and keep our members happy. Our guys were begging for tournaments and had the skills to pay the bills for sure. One day i decided to take my talents to South Beach and start creating tournaments.

TG SmokeyB: You've been in your position of Competition Team Member since September last year. What is the main reason for staying in the position?

Typicalveteran: Every position you enter in TG is a minimum 6 month commitment. Everyone in TG is held accountable for that myself especially.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell us the best highlight while serving as a CTM?

Typicalveteran: If we are talking just CTM as the position than i would have to say the tournaments and also the Subsidies 4  Shenanigans event where we raised over 500 dollars!!!!

TG SmokeyB: What attracted you to TG when you first joined?

Typicalveteran: I was playing a lot of battlefield back then. Being in the military i was always looking for a tactical approach even in game. I always preferred to play with adults who used good communication and had a solid attitude. This place was made for me from day 1.

TG SmokeyB: I imagine you are busy with been a Competition Team Member. What is it about being a CTM that you love?

Typicalveteran: The CTM job is great i love hearing the feedback and adjusting fire for the next go round. The best thing about it is that there is always room to improve and that drives me.

TG SmokeyB: Can you tell me a little more about your TG history?

Typicalveteran: I have never officially left IN lol. I started as an SM in the Battlefield division and applied to be an SA. From there i moved to SL. When Destiny opened i applied for IN SS and when interviewed by TG Halo Hobo he had mentioned to me that he was very surprised that i did not apply for XO. I had never really thought about it. I was very happy to be SS. Long story short i did apply for XO of Destiny and i kept moving up from there. Eventually i became DO and passed Trial Phase. After that i had the opportunity to be head trainer. I really enjoyed that job as HT. After HT i applied for CC and now i just need Hobo to get out of my way for COS lol . Once i became CC i knew i was in a good position to be a CTM for Apex Legends.

TG SmokeyB: If you could change one thing in TG, what would it be?

Typicalveteran: I think if i had to pick one thing to change it would be our member count. I would Double wait Triple wait Quadruple it!!

TG SmokeyB: Just for fun. If you where having your last meal tomorrow, what would it be?

Typicalveteran: I am a simple man with simple taste. Give me a mom and pop pizza with a large Coca Cola from down the street. No emotional attachment to food here lol .

Well there you have it folks, the man of very few words himself! Thank you Typicalveteran for taking part in this series.

Stayed tuned for another episode in a months time!

BF4: Operation Dragons Teeth

Operation Dragons Teeth
A Battlefield 4 Event

The Battlefield Division are holding an event on Battlefield 4, called Operation Dragons Teeth.

This operation has been created by Battlefields very own @TG The Messiah.

Below are some of the details about the operation:

Following the events of the main story, a Chinese civil war has erupted between the rebel forces of the deceased Admiral Chang, and the Chinese Government. The rebel forces have set up a base of operations in a remote province in China, and a small task force has been dispatched to sabotage their ability to continue their resistance.

Participation Requirements:
Battlefield 4
Dragon Pass - China Rising DLC
Dragon Valley 2015 - BF4 Legacy Operations

This operation will occur in two stages, and will pit a small team of attackers against a larger team of defenders. The attacking team will be required to complete a single primary objective in each stage, with a series of optional secondary objectives which will increase the chances of the attacking team dying, but will also make things easier for them in the second stage.

This operation will require interested members to individually sign up so exact numbers are known. Due to the uneven teams, members can volunteer to stay together, but they will be on the defending team. All other members will be randomly allocated to their team, and then it will be up to those teams to select their own captains. Once captains have been chosen, each captain will be given information on their primary objectives which, for secrecy reasons, have not been included in this brief. Teams can be decided among the members who have signed up if they do not wish for them to be randomly selected, and are fine with potentially not attacking or defending. If this is the case, then they must notify the organiser (TG The Messiah), or post on this announcement thread.

Stage 1: Dragon Pass - Conquest Large
The attacking team will be required to pass through the Dragon Pass map without being noticed. Should they be discovered, then they must fight their way through the map. The attacking team will have no access to vehicles from their spawn, and can only use ones they find on the map. The defending team will have limited access to vehicles.

If an attacking team member dies, they can be revived by a medic, if they die without a revive, then they are dead for the remainder of that map. Dead teammates will have the opportunity to return in the form as rescued captives on the second map. In order for the attacking team to count as having been discovered, they must meet one of the following criteria;

1. Be seen by players on the defending team
2. Engage members of the defending team, that leads to the either criteria 1, or the engagement being reported to the other
3. defending players

Rebel forces will not have the ability to respawn if they are killed without the official discovery of the attacking team. There will be a trust system where players who are killed instantly, cannot report the location of the attacking team. The only thing these killed players can say is (I have been killed). It will be up to the leader of the defending team to send out forces to the location of the killed defender to scout the area to find the attackers. Once the attacking team is discovered, then all players on the defending team can respawn at their home base, and they will gain access to more vehicles.

Primary Objective: Proceed through the Dragon Pass on your way to the final objective
Secondary Objective (optional): Locate and destroy enemy fuel shipments (prevents the enemy from gaining access to armored vehicles in the second stage)
Secondary Objective (optional): Locate and destroy enemy intelligence center (prevents the enemy from finding out the attacking teams’ final objective if they are discovered)

Stage 2 (team undiscovered): Dragon Valley - Conquest Large
With the attacking team having made it through Dragon Pass without being discovered, they proceed into the valley where the target objective is located. They will be required to pass through the map to the objective and capture it, and hold it for 2 minutes, to simulate the time it would take for the team to place explosives on critical positions. Once they have held it for 2 minutes, they have completed their main objective and have won the operation, however their secondary objective is to fall back to their start location so that they can leave the operation area and get back to safety.

If there are dead teammates from the previous map, then they will have the opportunity to play again in this stage. The attacking team will have been provided information on the location on the captives in the operation area, and they must choose between reaching their objective without being discovered, or choosing to reveal themselves in order to replenish their numbers. Captives must be the same class they were in the first map.

Primary Objective: Reach and sabotage the objective
Secondary Objective (optional): Reach the extraction zone and leave the operation area
Secondary Objective (dependant): Recover any friendly units held captive by enemy forces

Stage 2 (team discovered): Dragon Valley - Conquest Large
Because the attacking team was discovered by enemy forces while moving through the first sector, the rebel forces have been alerted to the teams presence and have prepared defences. Due to this, they will have access to additional vehicle support to stop the attacking team (unless their fuel dump was destroyed in the first stage), and will also have access to the exact final objective as well as the extraction location (unless their intelligence centre was destroyed in the first stage).

Their objectives and victory requirements have not changed, but positions of friendly captives have been moved further towards the Chinese spawn to reflect tightened security.

Primary Objective: Reach and sabotage the objective
Secondary Objective (optional): Reach the extraction zone and leave the operation area
Secondary Objective (dependant): Recover any friendly units held captive by enemy forces

Awards: This operation will have awards that directly reflect a team's performance in the operation. The standard medal will be earned by everyone participating in the comp. The medal with a bronze oak leaf will be earned by the attacking team when they complete their primary objective, the defending team will earn it when they defeat the attacking team before they’re able to complete their primary objective in the second stage. The medal with silver and gold leaves will be awarded to the attacking team for every secondary objective that is completed (2 max). The defending team will receive them for every secondary objective that they prevent the attacking team from completing.

There are medals to be won as well:

The start day and time for this amazing operation is Sunday 12th July @ 8PM EST.

There is a lot more information available on the event and to sign up, please click HERE, and it will take you directly to the correct page.

Good luck to everyone who enters this event!

Lupus and Fel have been instrumental to the success of London getting to CP status. London hit the GB ladder in mid June and played a lot of games to get them where they are at today. The squad staff’s relentless drive to get people on to play and stay driven towards their goal of CP status is inspiring. The next season is in great hands with London hitting games from the start strong.

TG London began GameBattles matches in the Team (EU) ladder on June 15th. From that day until the end of the month, London played in 51 games.  They finished the month with a record of 23-28 for a rank of 387th (Top 5.7%). This included a six game win streak.  More than 53% of their matches were played against teams in the Top 10% of the ladder.  Many of these matches were streamed on Twitch.

Kishi has been given this honorable award due to his dedication to the London CP team. Kishi has played the second most games at 42 out of 51 which is very commendable. His dedication to the team has been a huge impact in the success, and where they are at with achieving Top 5% and CP status.
