This is the third and final season for Jutland (CP) in this current configuration. Jutland (CP) smashed the Gamebattles Team NA Crossplay CW Ladder this Fall 2020 that concluded on December 21st. Jutland finished in the top 0.02% of teams on their ladder at 286th of 13,177 teams, with a record of 147 - 26.
 
Jutland (CP) performed at the 1% of any team ladder they joined for the majority of the past 9 months and 3 seasons. They've earned countless combat operations medals, and most core members have 2 Bronze Stars to their names. This is one of the longest and most decorated CP squads in recent TG history. Their accomplishments will be added to the TG Roll of Honor.

@TG Louie G is awarded these medals for his dedication not just to his 2nd Battalion in the XB1 Brigade, but also as CrossPlay Brigade Commander, and Squad League EU Division 1 Director. Louie served for just under 10 months in the Call of Duty CoC and was present for several important division wide decisions and actions. This is just a small token of gratitude for the time he volunteered to moderating and creating quality content for the membership.

TG Wide Recruitment Contest

The Public Relations Office is hosting a recruiting contest for all of TG!
 
When: 
Now until March 31st at 11:59 pm EST or until we hit 100 recruits (whichever comes first)
Who: 
Everyone can participate
Why: 
To encourage growth in all of Tactical Gaming
What Prizes:
$5 USD for every recruit you bring into TG that completes the Boot Camp Test and is placed into a squad/section. 
How do I receive my prize:
These are the items needed for your recruit to count:
1. List your name! This can either be in the "Why TG" section, under the "referrer", or in a message with you confirming that you referred them (you will need to supply a screenshot of the message if it is not listed on their TG profile).
2. The recruit must complete their Boot Camp Test.
3. The recruit must be placed into an IN Squad/Section.
4. You must reply to this topic with a link to the new member's profile and a screenshot confirming you referred them unless your name is on their profile.
5. Prizes will be sent via PayPal by April 7, 2021. If you do not have a PayPal we will try to work something out.

Overwatch Division - January Newsletter

The Overwatch 2 release date still remains uncertain. Many hoped it would be released in February during or right after Blizzconline; however, this seems unrealistic. We are hopeful to at least learn more about it during Blizzconline which is scheduled for February 19th and 20th. There are several contests that you are able to enter (deadlines are quickly approaching) along with more information on the free event here! At this time, there hasn't been any talks about any additional maps or heroes for Overwatch. There will still be minor tweaks like always, but it doesn't look like there will be any major changes to the original game. Overwatch did release their winter event, Winter Wonderland 2020! Be sure to play and gather those lootboxes while you can. This event is scheduled to close on January 5th!

BeattleMania has been the Squad Leader (SL) of Explorer Squad (XB1 1st bat) for 3 years! He has been a dedicated leader to not only his squad, but to the entire XB1 OW Division. He is always willing to help out in anyway that he can. Beattle has been SL in addition to having a full time job and a 3 year old who gets into everything! No matter how crazy his real life gets he continues to find time for his squad! 
I, TG HSquared, sat down with him recently and asked him a few questions about his experience here.
 
Squared: "What made you decide to step up to Squad Staff?"
Beattle: "When our previous SL, TG Dungeoneer, had to step down, he approached me. Even though I was a fairly new member of the squad, and told me he thought I'd make a good leader. So his recommendation and belief in me gave me the confidence to pursue it, and I haven't looked back."
Squared: "I'm so thankful he recommended you, and that you decided to give it a shot! You have been an amazing addition to the SS family!
 
Squared: "What has been the biggest challenge as Squad Leader of Explorer?"
Beattle: "There hasn't really been any challenges for me; thanks to my great squad, and other squad staff who immediately hop up to help with anything that I need."
Squared: "It is great to see how well you guys really do work together!"
 
Squared: "What has been the most fun part of being SL?"
Beattle: "The most fun part of being SL for me is getting to foster the skill and talents of the people in my squad. I've seen a lot of members come in as quiet and shy, then in a few short weeks have nearly as much confidence as me! It's times like that when I feel like I'm doing my job as SL to foster their full potential."
Squared: "I remember when you first joined, you were a little on the quieter side, but you quickly broke out of that shell! Now "quiet" and "shy" are not words I'd use to describe ya!
 
Squared: "Most of your members have been in Explorer for quite some time. How do you get them to stay? Are you paying them??"
Beattle:  "Well, since I myself am not getting paid, they don't either. But here in Explorer we strive for a fun, family environment, and I do what I can to insure that there's no burnout. I try not to take things too seriously, and I think that's really helped bond us together. "
Squared: "You guys definitely have a very fun, family vibe in Explorer! I always have a ball when I join you guys, until you get too many people, and I have to sit out!"
 
Squared: "What is something that you hope to see more of in the Overwatch Division?"
Beattle: "I'd like to see more interaction amongst the division. Even if it is just chatting on Discord. I feel like  I don't know everyone because we all keep to our little bubbles."
Squared: "I do think this is a great idea! I enjoy seeing people interact with one another and not letting the platform barrier divide us!"
 
Squared: "Any advice that you'd like to give to fellow SS?"
Beattle: "If I have one piece of advice, it's don't be afraid to ask for help with anything, whether it be from your squad or other SS. You'd be amazed how much easier it is to do this if you have the input from everyone around you."
Squared: "I 100% agree with this!"
 
Squared: "Is there anything else that you'd like to add?"
Beattle: "The only thing I'd like to add is, a thank you to everyone here for all the good times I've had here, and I'm looking forward to even more going forward!"
Squared: "Thanks again Beattle for all of your hard work and support over the last three years! Looking forward to the future with you!"

We Accomplished a lot in 2020!

2020.... What a year! 
 
 
One year ends to allow another to start.  I will highlight some of the biggest events that TG managed to run over the last 12 months.   

We started quiet bringing in the new year, we took time to congratulate those who participated in the Make-A-Wish Charity Stream  as well as @Typicalveteran-'s ugly Christmas Jumper Contest in aid of ToWriteloveOnHerArms
 
In March, as we all know it... lockdown hit and Covid-19 happened. We were trapped in our homes and couldn't go anywhere so we were left with no choice but to binge every Netflix show and play games all day but some...our everyday heroes. We learned to appreciate those providing essential services and as such we extended a small token of our thanks HERE

Apex ran a Tournament called #Subsides4shennanigans  to raise funds for future Apex Tournaments... This was a very big event and we raised over $500 while watching various members of CoC take pies to the face, Ice bucket challenges, grow mustaches and much more!

At the beginning of April, we ran a Charity Stream for the Fred Hutch Research Foundation which was focusing on finding a cure / vaccine for the Virus. Throughout the day we raised just under $200 for the cause. 

Also in April, TWC and CoD Division ran a TG wide event - TWC Presents: Warzone Tournament, This ran for a few weeks during the month of April in which multiple teams competed in some big $$$ prizes in Warzone.
 
In May we had a charity stream for Armed Forces Bikers , a day long streaming event in aid of the UK Veterans Charity who assist veterans or injured service members transition back into civil life. 

Destiny Division ran "The Guardian Games"  from the end of April till early May, where members teamed up together to win as many Laurels as they could for some awesome prizes. 
 
Throughout the year we opened up a few divisions and legions:
Valorant Division Escape From Tarkov Division Minecraft Dungeons Legion Marvel Avengers Legion Star Wars Squadrons Division  
On May 24th Overwatch celebrated its 4th year in TG by running an event for all its members to celebrate. Each member earned points based on certain game modes / actions they did in  game of for their division. 
 
We had 2 big podcasts come out this year , the first was hosted and co hosted by @TG RoyalRenKu & @RareCosmicPepe  with guests  @HartAttackKidd and @MrTurdTastic  you can view it HERE
and then another one with RoyalRenku, RareCosmicPepe and the CC Typical Veteran - Link HERE - Worth listening to both! 
 
@Senile Sarge and @TG SirMadness started a short TG News Hour Series where we discussed a bunch of gaming and TG topics.  you can watch some of the videos on the TG Youtube Channel  -  Season 2 is on its way!!

Call of Duty has had 3 Competitive Squads constantly competing throughout the year and they have made TG Proud  - TG Jutland and TG Warewulf and TG Sabre Squad

This year we had three major Meritorious promotions, for ArmedHyde, Wookchuck and Epsi.  These are special moments, where we celebrate members long dedication and commitment to a position and have gone above and beyond their duties.

In September, the TG discord went through some major changes and is now open to the public. Also to note, we achieved a level 3 nitro boost which adds some awesome perks to the server like our own custom discord URL, 1080p streaming and more server emotes.
 
In October, League of Legends ran a 1v1 tournament on the Twitch Channel in aid of ChildsPlay Charity and raised over $600 which was awesome.
 
A few weeks later, @MissVendettaXO ran a charity stream for Breast Cancer Research Foundation which TG raised made over $1600 and combined with 2 other communities that ran under our campaign that totaled to around $8000.

To end our glorious year of charity streams, we ran a big event for The USO,  a Veterans Charity in which we raised over $2150 for the amazing cause which was organised by @Senile Sarge - See the ATO HERE
 

These are some of the big moments, events and achievements TG has produced over the year. 
TG has accomplished quite a lot this year, given the year that it has been, TG is still going strong and is only going to get better.  
A Massive thank you to everyone who puts in the work and time to make these events happen, to recruit and bring joy and happiness to everyone's lives here in TG

For their triumphant return to the Call of Duty competitive scene after a break for a game title change, Jutland is awarded these competition medals on November's performance. Jutland finished the month 71st of 13,177, with a 71-13 record.

ATO - USO Charity Stream

Over the 14th - 16th November Weekend, TG came together to raise awareness and donations for the USO. For over 26 hours, members across
TG streamed on the TG Official Twitch Channel andthrough the kind donations of many,
we raised an incredible amount of $2150 for the USO
