Rockstar and Bungie Team Up. Is it Destiny?

Rockstar Energy Drink have launched a competition with Bungie web for the Destiny community. Commencing October 7, the Open round begins where in game challenges must be met. First up in the opening week is Crucible, the second week will focus on Strikes and week 3 will involve the new game mode introduced with the Forsaken DLC, Gambit. What these challenges involve has yet to be announced, but in order to compete in these challenges, players MUST register their entry (you'll find the link to the details at the bottom of this article).

For the players who meet the challenge requirements, they will progress within their field into the Legendary round on October 28, again starting with Crucible, then Strikes the next week followed by Gambit. But to progress out of this round into the next, whatever challenges are set, the players need to be in the top 200 within that category.

The Qualifier Round featuring those 600 players go into a Gambit event, scheduled for November 25, where they will compete to be in the final 4. Those  4 will get a paid for trip to Bungie Studios where they will compete against the Bungie team, which will go out live on Twitch.

Thank you for your TG service! ~ Razgriz117

In this installment of the 'Thank you for your TG service' series. I am interviewing Captain Razgriz117 of the Ghost Recon Division's PC Brigade, 1st Battalion's Commanding Officer. He and I have served the Ghost Recon division together for quite some time. It has been, and continues to be an honor to serve the GR Division with him.

TGxLadicius: What brought you to our community?
Razgriz117: I was frustrated with the way mainstream shooters were being played by the majority of their player populations. It seemed to me that adventure shooters games like Call of Duty had popularized the run-and-gun approach to shooting games because of their forgiving nature, which was designed to make the games appeal to a wider audience than games like Arma or Battlefield. Eventually, this bled into the shooter genre in general and I found myself longing for a more cooperative and strategic tactical experience. That's when I sought out a group of people to play with and found Tactical Gaming.

TGxLadicius: What would you say has been your greatest difficulty you've had in TG?
Razgriz117: The greatest difficulty I have experienced has taken place during my command of my battalion. It is a combination of my efforts to not just drive my men to recruit members, but also effectively retain existing members by providing a sense of engagement and comradery. It's challenging to do all of these simultaneously, but I think I have my squad staff to thank for how well our battalion has faired and how much it has grown. In the end, they are the ones who have executed the right procedures and instilled their subordinates with a feeling of community and duty. For this reason and others, they are a great source of pride for me as their commanding officer.

TGxLadicius: There are many programs and tools available to us in TG. Which would you say has been the most helpful to you?
Razgriz117: Without a doubt, I think the CPP initiative is the most useful. I believe it is an indispensable tool in ensuring our battalion continues to operate as per protocol (and indeed that all the individual cells of our organization operate similarly) but also in determining in what ways members of our CoC might need assistance from their mentors to ensure that they are serving their men to the highest standards of ethics, efficiency, and effectiveness.

TGxLadicius: What would you say is your greatest moment in TG (to date)?
Razgriz117: Any time I am able to honor my men for their service is a great moment. But perhaps the greatest I have experienced was the moment when 1st Battalion finally grew from one to two sustainable squads. This may seem insignificant to members of larger battalions, but as the Ghost Recon community is smaller on PC than on other gaming platforms, this was a huge milestone for our battalion and indeed our brigade as a whole.

TGxLadicius: What advice would you give to fellow members of CoC? Also, what advice would you offer to other TG members?
Razgriz117: To my fellow members of the CoC: honor your men. Recognize their efforts and value what they do in service of you and our organization, for without them you are nothing. Treat each of them as you would you family and they will follow you to into conflict without hesitation and adhere to your word as law. Be kind to them and they will show you nothing but the utmost respect. To my fellow members of TG: be kind to one another, respect your superiors, adhere to protocol, but don't forget to have fun through it all. If we all enjoy ourselves, our bonds will be stronger and our community will grow.

Thank you for you time in this interview, and thank you for your TG service Captain @Razgriz117!

TG Valhalla
Valhalla joined TG on the 22nd of January, 2017, Currently, working in both PUBG as a Brigade Commander and the PRO as Social Media Team Lead. After joining the PRO as  a Social Media Team Member back in March under TG Fireflex and made a name for himself managing the Youtube and Twitch end of things, making him SMTL was a easy decision.  From the moment Valhalla took charge of the Social Media Team on the 7th of May, he has displayed an exemplary example of leadership, dedication, commitment, timelessness and enthusiasm to the continued success and growth of the Social Media Team and Public Relations Office as a whole. Valhalla conducts himself with the highest degree of professionalism by looking after the stream team and the social media team, catering for their every needs and ensuring their success and that all requests are met within a timely manner. Valhalla has also assisted greatly in various projects within the PRO, whether it be the creation of the Streaming Resource Guide,  Processing and interviewing each applicant. Actively seeking ways to improve every aspect of TG and promoting the very essence of TG through the Social Media. The Public Relations Office would not be in the shape it is now nor would the TG Twitch channel be so well managed and organised with out his outstanding skills and talent. His efforts do not go un-noticed and his dedication, hard work and leadership essence reverberates through our community.  It is with great pleasure to award TG Valhalla with the Public Relations Achievement medal and Tactical Gaming Achievement medal.
TGxP1nkM1st
This is to certify that TGxP1nkM1st is being awarded the Tactical Gaming Public Relations Achievement Medal for his efforts in the Public Relations Office as a Social Media Team Member (Stream Team). To say the efforts of P1nkM1ist is going above and beyond is an understatement. From day one of joining the stream team P1nkM1st has been a constant fount of ideas. He has brought ideas to the stream team to better serve our community across all platforms and is always the first to volunteer to help execute the ideas. Above all, P1inkM1st has furthered Tactical Gaming in the gaming community by establishing a relationship with Ammobox Studios, a new subsidiary of Hi-Rez studios. P1nkM1st has negotiated with the CEO of Ammobox and made it possible for all members of Tactical Gaming to get beta access to Ammobox’s upcoming game, EXIMIUS: Seize The Frontline. This not only furthers TG’s interests in the gaming community as a whole, but also brings a game that could be a potential division to the hands of every member of the community. P1inkM1st’s actions with Ammobox Studios gives great credit to himself and reflects an amazing image of not only the Public Relations Office, but TG as a whole. With P1inkM1ist’s actions to further the Tactical Gaming cause and being a point of contact to a gaming studio he is enthusiastically recommended for the Tactical Gaming Public Relations Achievement Medal!

Mobile Saves PUBG Division - I created TG for these moments

Hey all,

Vision & Mission
Even if I’m very proud of every Divisions that passes trial phase, I normally don’t write an article about it. But this one is extra special for me because it embodies one of the fundamentals of why I created TG.

The last gaming community I was part of before TG was PC only.  And In 2004, I started to notice the explosion of online gaming on consoles (original XBOX and PS2). In that community, I tried to get Ghost Recon 2 on the original XBOX setup. Unfortunately, consoles were… well… discriminated against… So I left the community and TG’s vision & Mission were born...

So for several years now, online mobile gaming has been growing but unfortunately, finding one that meets our Division Requirements has been difficult… that is, until about 5 months ago.... And the timing couldn’t have been better....

Mobile to the Rescue!
About 5 months ago, PUBG Division was getting shut down for not meeting the Trial Phase requirement of getting a Brigade fully staffed (see above requirements for details). This was hard to believe since PUBG is one of the most popular games on the planet… Then, what comes along? The Mobile version to the rescue!!! The trial phase countdown was reset to give Mobile Brigade the same opportunity the other Brigades got which also gave PC and XB1 the chance to fully staff their Brigades.

Initially, SOME people (you know who you are  ) did not take Mobile Brigade  seriously....  But as the amount of new members started to come in and outgrow the other Brigades, mindsets towards mobile changed. We are now at the end of the trial phase and I’m extremely happy to say that  due to Mobile Brigade, PUBG Division passes trial phase.

Team Effort
I would like to thank two people who went all in to ensure the success of Mobile Brigade. These people helped me setup and build Mobile and gave it the same respect as any other platform we support. As such:

Best of luck to the competitors and to the LoL Legion in their recruitment effort!

The Forsaken Countdown Is On

The myriad of changes to the Destiny experience have begun! This past Tuesday a 35GB download was required to prepare players for the forthcoming Forsaken launch which drops On September 8th. Along with a new campaign mission, this time in the Reef, home of the Awoken, an area little explored in the Destiny universe, Forsaken will add new weapons and weapon types, ‘supers’, more customisation options and a tracking system, which will allow players to track what they need to do to acquire various titles and armour/weapon sets. But what has really gotten the Destiny community talking is the story behind the Forsaken expansion. The death of Cayde-6 and the quest for vengeance.
Another of the larger elements of the changing face of Destiny is the addition of a new mode, a hybrid of PvE and PvP entitled Gambit. This mode pits two opposing player teams against each other in a race to acquire motes by eliminating AI enemies and banking them. Teams will also be able to shut down their opponents bank and launch a single player attack on the opposition team via a portal under correct circumstances. This new game dynamic should lead to some interesting game play (and sounds like a lot of fun)!
There are a variety of methods to purchase the Destiny Forsaken Expansion; At present there is a COMPLETE edition available containing the base game, the earlier season expansions, Curse of Osiris and Warmind, the Annual Pass for Forsaken (which includes the soon to be released Forsaken package and the next two planned DLC content drops, Aces Wild and Penumbra) or the LEGENDARY edition, containing all the aforementioned material, minus the yet to be released future expansions post Forsaken. There will also be an Annual Pass sold separately for those not wishing to purchase the base game and/or previously released content, and a package containing Forsaken only, with the future content not included.

As with all Destiny expansions, a new Raid will feature. With the launch of Warmind, TG’s Destiny Division attempted to become the first community to complete Spire of Stars. To their great credit and much heralding, they were the fifth team to do so. With the launch of Forsaken, TG’s Destiny alumni set their sights on being the first group to best the new Raid. TW SARGE, Destiny’s PS4 Brigade Commander had this to say about the Destiny Division’s attempt to be world’s first when Forsaken’s Raid arrives;
" I'm very excited about the reveal of the new expansion coming, and this new Raid coming out seems like it's going to be more challenging than the last. Worlds first may take on new meanings for this Raid, but one thing is for certain: Destiny Division will represent Tactical Gaming honorably again in whichever avenue we choose to take as we tackle the new raid on launch day. I also heard that the Xbox Brigade challenged the PS4 Brigade on getting the first completion, so that is something that both Brigades are going to be working toward as well. I anxiously await the release and am eager to go for that worlds first title again".
When asked about preparing for an entirely new Raid and the mechanics involved, SARGE states;
" Those of us who are keen on the Raids have been doing little things and having talks about beating the existing raids in interesting new ways to challenge ourselves and push our problem solving and enemy clearing skills to whole new levels. Speed run challenges, one-phasing boss kills, weapon specific boss kills, etc. These are some of the things that are keeping us on our toes and I'd like to say that the Destiny Division has some of the most efficient raiders".
Those that have PS4 with PS Plus membership, can get the Destiny Base game for free during September.

Thank you for your TG service! - TG CallaNinja

In this installment of the 'Thank you for your TG service' series, I have interviewed Lieutenant Colonel TG CallaNinja.  He serves the Call of Duty division, and is the brigade commander for the XB1 Brigade.

TGxLadicius: What initially brought you to TG and into which division?
TG CallaNinja: It was an article on xbox.com that first introduced me to Tactical Gaming (Tacical Warfare at the time). I read an interview that was done by a former member that was known as TW QuantemDalek. From there I signed up to join and the rest is history.

TGxLadicius: What has been one of the hardest issues you've had to deal within TG? How did you resolve it?
TG CallaNinja: The hardest issue, by far, that I've had to deal with was when we dealt with a lot of long-standing and tenured members (which affected multiple divisions, especially Call of Duty) leaving TG to make their own clan. Initially, it was such a shock to see so many members leave all at one like they did, but at the same time, it provided others with an opportunity to step up and show their leadership qualities in a time of conflict. Thankfully, I was allowed to take that opportunity to work to excel within the division and help others advance as well, whether that was within CoD or outside the division.

TGxLadicius: Tell us a time where our Tactical Gaming Mediation Program (TGMP) served to be a great tool?
TG CallaNinja: Though I haven't had to directly use the program to deal with issues within the division. I know that the mediation program is a GREAT tool to use to hash out issues within, no mater how small. I know that a few battalion staff members have used this to work out and it's nothing but help strengthen relations within squads and divisions.

TGxLadicius: Tell us of a time in TG that has stood out to you.
TG CallaNinja: Getting involved with the competitive aspects of gaming. Anybody within the division, past or present, can tell you that I'm not the best player when it comes to Call of Duty. But when we had opportunities to be involved with a group known as the Sea Snipers and participate within what was known as the S.E.A.L. League, which had multiple other clans involved with it. Our teams mainly consisted of our competitive squad (CP) squad members, as well as other members within the structured squads (ST) and wanted to be involved. We had history with the S.E.A.L. League for years, as Tactical Warfare won multiple league seasons when it existed and to be involved with the competitive squads and being a part of teams the won the league was a huge honor for me.

TGxLadicius: For members considering becoming a member of the CoC, what could you offer as advice?
TG CallaNinja: Being a part of the CoC isn't just about who plays the best, but about having the right attitude to lead. Yeas, there is work involved to be a CoC member, but the rewards greatly outweigh the risks. Thankfully I had great guidance when I was recommended to be squad staff and I haven't looked back. So, if you're considering it, don't be discouraged about thinking it won't be something that you can't handle. Take advantage of the opportunity and make the experience your own!

Thank you for your TG service @TG CallaNinja
