Great news for Destiny fans!
A new DLC, Beyond Light, is coming to Destiny 2. The DLC is coming on the 2nd of September this year. Bungie has also outlined its plan for three years worth of expansions. Yes, Three Years!
That's start with the trailer:
So the first of the updates dropped today, as Destiny players will know. They have updated the servers rather then making individual players update, which is faster and quicker access. However, servers did go down for a couple of hours while they did it, but it's worth the wait.
The start of the three year updates start in September, the first expansion tells the story of the Guardians climactic fight with the Darkness. Each of these major expansions will add a new destination area to the game.
The general manager of Bungie had this to say, and I'm quoting:
"Beyond Light takes you to Europa, the frozen moon of Jupiter, birthplace to the Exo machines and the site of the Deep Stone Crypt. On Europa, you'll meet Eramis, the leader of an empire of Fallen. She's learning to harness the power that comes directly from the pyramid ships. To defeat her, you'll have to harness that power too. For the first time since Destiny 1 launched six years ago, Guardians will acquire a brand new damage type called Stasis. So not just supers or a new grenade, an actual new damage type in the universe."
As the months go by, there will be more information about the up and coming expansions in the future. The PRO News Team will keep an eye out and update the Tactical Gaming community as the news is published.
With the addition of Stasis, which is a new damage type tied to the Darkness, should be a huge change. So far Guardians have become used to wielding Arc, Solar, and Void (and Kinetic, in the case of your primary firearms). I've spoken to a friend who plays Destiny 2 and he says it's a great thing and great things to come.
I've never known a game developer to keep a game so fresh and keep players interested. Other studios and developers could learn something from Bungie and keep players interested!
As I said above, the News Team will keep an eye out for new update news and we will keep you up to date with this fantastic news.
If you play Destiny 2, you could send us your personal reviews on the expansions. Having a players personal experience and review for the updates would be great!
