- Placement Matches: Three wins in Placement Matches determine a player’s starting Skill Rating (SR) and division, allowing for faster and more accurate initial placement than previous systems.

- Skill Divisions: Eight divisions (Bronze to Iridescent, plus Top 250) with escalating SR thresholds and increasingly strict party restrictions at higher tiers.

- SR Progression: Wins increase SR, losses decrease it, with performance-based adjustments and protections (e.g., loss forgiveness for early losses, teammate disconnects).

- Pro Ruleset: Only select weapons, attachments, and equipment are allowed, matching Call of Duty League regulations and “Gentleman’s Agreements” among pro players. Friendly fire is enabled, and certain items are restricted per mode.

- Map and Mode Pool: At launch, Ranked Play features Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Overload on a curated set of maps (e.g., Blackheart, Colossus, Den, Exposure, Raid, Scar).

- Rewards: Exclusive operator skins, weapon camos, blueprints, calling cards, and more are unlocked by climbing divisions and achieving win milestones.

Party restrictions become more stringent at higher ranks, with only solo or duo entries allowed in Crimson and above, and tighter SR gaps enforced between teammates. This is intended to preserve competitive integrity and prevent high-skill “stacking” from dominating lobbies.
